What to include

Where relevant, tell us:

A screenshot or a small example may help. Remove unrelated personal information and confidential design details first. Keep the original project while we investigate. Do not send Apple Account passwords, verification codes, complete payment-card details or identity documents.

Sending screenshots, projects or diagnostic files is optional and does not affect app features you are entitled to use. Without information necessary to investigate a particular issue, we may be unable to identify its cause or complete the requested assistance.

Free features and unlocking

You can create starting billets using the Initial layouts and use Forge and Cut / reassemble in your own projects without purchasing. Low and Standard rendering are available, with material-rendering anti-aliasing off.

The one-time full-version purchase unlocks Twist, Imprint, Plane cut and Add steel in your own projects, Fine and Ultra rendering, optional x2 / x4 / x16 / x32 anti-aliasing, and all PDF export. It is not a monthly or annual subscription. Review the displayed features and Apple's local purchase price before confirming.

If a purchase is awaiting approval, wait for Apple to finish processing. If pricing or the store is temporarily unavailable, check your connection and try again. Repeatedly tapping the purchase button does not resolve an order awaiting confirmation.

Restoring a purchase

Use the Apple Account that made the purchase, connect to the internet and select Restore Purchases in Settings or the unlock sheet. No separate DamaSight account is needed.

If access is still missing, check that the order completed and that you are using the correct Apple Account for App Store purchases. Contact us with the app name, purchase item and approximate date. Do not send a password or full payment details. Cross-device access and Family Sharing depend on the configuration actually supported by Apple and the purchase.

Restoring purchases restores eligible feature access. It does not recover local projects, settings or files deleted from a device.

Saved projects and recovery

Projects are stored on your device. Reopen an existing project from the project library. If the app reports a storage or recovery problem, retain the installation and any existing copies, note the message, and contact support before deleting or resetting data.

The app does not provide its own cloud project-sync service. Check any system backup or migration arrangements separately before changing devices. A PDF report is useful for reading and sharing process information, but it is not a complete editable-project backup and cannot be used to restore a project in the app.

If saving fails, stop making repeated changes, record the error and check available device storage. Do not delete a project or its backup files as a first troubleshooting step.

Rendering and pattern questions

Higher rendering and anti-aliasing settings may take longer to complete. You can choose a lower setting for quicker interaction. Changing these settings affects display sampling; it does not calibrate the material model against real forging.

When reporting a pattern issue, include the affected process step, relevant parameters, viewing plane and whether the result changes after reopening. Send a small reproducible example if one can be shared safely.

DamaSight displays simulated patterns, sections and process results for design reference only. It does not guarantee a match with the final results of actual forging, cutting, grinding or etching. A preview or PDF is not certification of manufacturing accuracy, material strength or workshop safety. See the responsibility limits in the Terms of Use for physical processing results and material or finished-product losses caused by differences between simulation and actual processing; liability and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

PDF export

PDF export requires the full-version unlock. Wait for the current material result to finish updating, then choose Export PDF and select a destination in the system sharing panel.

If you change parameters during export, allow the new result to finish and export again. Check storage and try again if file creation fails. If the sharing panel cannot open, return to the editor and retry after any other panel has closed. Review reports for project names, parameters or other information you do not want to share.

Refunds

For purchases billed by Apple, use Apple's refund instructions or reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple processes the request under its rules and applicable consumer law. We can help with access issues but cannot approve a refund on Apple's behalf. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

For privacy requests, email contact@aelory.com with “DamaSight privacy request” in the subject. Describe the information or request involved; avoid sending unrelated documents.

The Privacy Policy explains information handling. The Terms of Use, including Provider and legal contact, identify the service provider and business contact details for legal enquiries, complaints and claims.
